Covid-19 Action Plan
(C.A.P)

We love to feed all people; physically, spiritually and artistically during good times and even the bad. We enjoy coming together with our community for an evening of positivity, good food, good company and enlightenment. But to ensure we can continue feeding our community, we've taken and will be taking crucial steps to support our teams and guests health and safety.

The safety and well-being of our guests and our team have been, and will always come first. COVID-19 is a serious illness that is mostly spread by respiratory droplets released in the air when people talk, cough, or sneeze. It is said that the virus can spread to hands from contaminated surfaces as well. When the covid-19 contaminated germs are present in those droplets or those surfaces; the illness can then be spread to another party’s nose or mouth, causing infection. Therefore, personal prevention practices such as hand washing, staying home when sick, environmental cleaning and disinfection are important principles that will be highly enforced and implemented. While our strong routines for food safety and cleaning standards have always met or surpassed guidelines and expectations; we are even more than ever prepared to take the extra precautions needed to ensure everyone’s safety.

Sick? Stay Home!

  • Please stay home if they have tested positive for or are showing COVID-19 symptoms.
  • If you have recently had a close contact with a person with COVID-19 please stay home and monitor your health.
  • All people who are sick or have recently had a close contact with a person who has been sick with or without COVID-19 are urged to stay home. You will not miss out on anything at all! You can still participate online.
  • At higher risk for severe illness (including older adults, young children and people of all ages with certain underlying medical conditions) stay home. I appreciate the support and love, but I appreciate your existence more. Stay home for us both please.
  • Temperature checks will be performed on every team member, guest and participant to ensure the safety and well being of everyone.
  • Furthermore; love is far more important to spread than germs. So, for the sake of love, keep your germs at home.

Respect Boundaries!

  • Physical barriers, such as plastic partitions will be placed in areas where it is difficult for individuals to remain at least 6 feet apart.
  • Physical guides, such as tape on floors or cones in fields in combination with signage will be used to ensure that individuals remain at least 6 feet apart.
  • Wherever lines form, there will be someone to monitor and guide guests in cohesion with the movement of the line and the required 6 feet of social distance.
  • Guests will be encouraged to allow other people 6 feet of space when you pass by them in both indoor and outdoor settings via verbal reminders and signage.
  • Furthermore; love is far more important to spread than germs. So, for the sake of love, hugging will be at guests’ own risk. Signage and verbal recommendations for social distanced air hugs, shoulder shimmies, hip bumps, foot taps and other non evasive measures will be abundant.
  • Seating capacity reduced to allow tables to be spaced at least 6 feet apart. Please do not readjust the set up without assistance from a designated team member.
  • Everyone is encouraged to bring their own chair or seating for higher safety measure and protection.
  • When RSVPing, guests will have to disclose the amount of people in their accompanying party so that designated spaces can be arranged to accommodate the 6 feet of required social distance.
  • Our newest addition is that instead of a self serve buffet; guests will be served by volunteers. No guests are to touch any food handling surfaces and are encouraged to allow team members to hand them whatever they may need including but not limited to utensils, plates, food, napkins, drinks, etc.
  • Guest will be given the opportunity to have their plates prepackaged before their arrival by making their orders at the time of RSVPing.
  • Another new addition will be curbside pickup. Guests will be able to RSVP and reserve a curb side plate to go. We will have guests enter their car make, model and color and when they arrive, our team member will bring their order to their car. For safety and protection, the packaged meal will be handed to guest via car window on a tray that will be sanitized between guests.

Cloth Face Coverings!

  • Cloth face coverings are meant to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms.
  • Everyone is required to have cloth face coverings. Unless performing or actively engaged in eating; they are required to have one on.
  • Babies and children younger than 2 years old, anyone who has trouble breathing anyone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance are not required to wear a face mask but are also urged to stay home.
  • Face coverings are most essential in times when physical distancing is difficult and in passing people who are not a part of your accompanied group.
  • To ensure face coverings are being used, there will be a designated person to ensure everyone either has a face mask or is using theirs properly.

Clean It Up!

  • Physical washing of team members' hands every 20 minutes with soap and water followed by alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • All team members will be required to wear gloves and to change gloves when switching between activities, helping guests, after touching surfaces or any contact with a possible contaminated surface.
  • Continued use of disposable food service items (e.g., utensils, dishes, napkins, tablecloths).
  • All trash will be removed as soon as it is created.
  • Multiple hand sanitizing stations equipped with hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes will be implemented throughout the space to ensure accessibility and to limit contamination.
  • Signage and verbal reminders to wash and sanitize hands will be given to all guests and team members.
  • A designated sanitation specialist will clean every chair after every guest leaves with antibacterial disinfectant.
  • A designated COVID-19 Point of Contact will be responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns. All team members will know who this person is and will direct all concerns to contact them.

"Great atmosphere, awesome food, amazing energy..."
- Sumaiyah Yates, Aug. 2019

"A queen in the east requested my visit,
She enjoyed my performance and our connection was exquisite.
We both took a liking to feeding the people,
Because a full stomach helps with combating the evils.
In return for providing the verbal treats,
She would make me a meal fit for kings to eat.
She would fill my cup and fill my plate
All I had to do was choose the food I ate.
For a second I was overwhelmed,
I fell into deep reflection.
So many times I didn't believe that what I ate mattered
But with her, it was a simple question.
All of those times laid shattered,
I realized that after all I had been through;
I deserved to give her this menu.
So I replied to her with a little more ease,
I'll have fried chicken wings and you can sit that next to the baked mac n cheese.
By that plate you can place
A humble bowl,
of seafood gumbo.
So nice,
Over white rice.
Beside it place some cabbage but fry it,
I aint sparing no calories, I aint on no diet.
A little corn on the cob would really make my heart throb,
And some Garlic cheese bread would probably cause me to slob.
Some steamed shrimp would almost finish the job.
But the child inside calls for dessert to finish the show.
So I must go with peach cobbler a la mode."
